Heart Softball Players of the Week, Presented by Musco Lighting – Week 1

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Softball Players of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Player of the Week

Jami Mans of Peru State is this week's Heart of America Softball Player of the Week. Mans went 2-for-3 in the Bobcats' first game of the season, hitting one double and driving in one run.

Pitcher of the Week

Melanie Hughes of Peru State is this week's Heart of America Softball Pitcher of the Week. Hughes pitched five innings over the weekend and picked up two strikeouts in her first outing of the season.
