Gabe Gonzales of No. 1 Grand View, Selected Heart Wrestler of the Week

Gabe Gonzales of No. 1 nationally ranked Grand View University was selected the Heart Men's Wrestler of the Week, presented by Musco on Monday afternoon.

The freshman went 4-1 at the Grand View Open in the 125-pound weight class and placed second.

The Globe, Arizona native placed ahead of nine other NAIA ranked wrestlers in the bracket and defeated NCAA Division I ranked Kyle Gollhofer of Northern Iowa by a 7-3 decision.

In the championship bout he lost to NCAA Division I, Iowa State's Adrian Meza by a narrow, 7-6 decision.
