Heart of America Announces Golfers of the Week - Week 2
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the Heart of America Golfers of the Week.
Men's Golfer of the Week
Gavin Dines of Baker is this week's Heart of America Men's Golfer of the Week. Dines opened the 2025 fall season by winning the Crestview Fall Classic. Sitting in 12th place going into the final day, Dines tied the program's 18-hole record with a 66 to force a four-way playoff, which he went on to win.
Women's Golfer of the Week
Amalia Ortega of Clarke is this week's Heart of America Women's Golfer of the Week. Ortega blew away the field, winning her second collegiate tournament by 14 strokes while also leading the Pride to a team victory for the first time in 10 seasons. Her 36-hole score of 149 broke the school record for a two-round total as she came up one stroke shy in the first round of tying the low round in Pride women's golf history.
