Benedictine's Nicole Storck Named Heart Emil S. Liston Scholarship Award Nominee

Named in honor of the NAIA's first executive secretary and the prime mover behind the men's basketball tournament, the Emil Liston Scholarship Award recognizes one junior men's and one junior women's basketball student-athlete who has shown high athletic and academic achievement.

Nicole Storck has built an impressive resume that reflects excellence in every aspect of the student-athlete experience. An accounting major entering her junior year with a 3.82 cumulative GPA, Storck earned First Team All-Heart Conference honors after averaging 10.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.3 offensive rebounds per game while helping Benedictine to a second-place finish in the Heart standings during the 2025-26 season. A team captain, Dean's List student, and member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society, she has represented Benedictine as its Heart Athletic Student Association (HASA) representative and will serve as Student-Athlete Leadership Team vice president in 2026-27.

Her impact extends well beyond competition. Through volunteer service that includes nursing home visits, High 5 Fridays, and community yard cleanup projects, Storck consistently demonstrates a commitment to serving others while representing Benedictine with integrity. Her leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to her community exemplify the qualities recognized by the Emil S. Liston Scholarship Award.

As the Heart of America Athletic Conference recipient, Nicole Storck will represent the conference as its nominee for the corresponding NAIA national award, with national recipients to be announced by the NAIA at a later date.
