2024 Heart Baseball All-Conference Teams Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its annual Heart Baseball All-Conference teams and postseason award winners on Thursday.

The All-Conference teams feature players from across the Heart and are listed as First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.

Below you will also find the 2024 Heart Baseball Gold Glove Team.

The individual awards and All-Conference teams were selected by the Heart baseball head coaches.

Below please find the list of 2024 individual postseason award winners:

2024 Heart Baseball Co-Player of the Year – Brycen Sherwood – MidAmerica Nazarene University

Sherwood had another outstanding season for the Pioneers, as the senior hit .374 during the regular season with 58 hits. The shortstop hit 11 home runs with 32 RBI's and 46 runs scored.

2024 Heart Baseball Co-Player of the Year – Bobby Nichols – Central Methodist

Nichols did it all for the Eagles this season. The senior hit .399 at the plate with 71 hits, eight doubles, eight home runs and three triples. He also scored 62 runs, knocked in 35 RBI and stole 25 bases.

2024 Heart Baseball Pitcher of the Year – Abel Madueno – William Penn University

Madueno started 12 gamees this season and went 10-2 with an ERA of 2.48. The junior threw seven complete games and in 83.1 innings, he struck out 98 batters.

2024 Heart Baseball Coach of the Year – Nate Breland – Central Methodist

Coach Breland has earned this award in back-to-back seasons, after leading CMU to the Heart regular season championship in 2024 with a Heart record of 28-4. The Eagles are the No. 1 seed in this week's Heart Conference Tournament. The Eagles will also host one of 10 NAIA Opening Rounds next week in Fayette, Mo.
