Evangel Makes Way Into National Rankings
The Crusaders, who earned their first ranking since Sept. 24, 2007, moved into the final spot at #25 after claiming a 27-10 win over Culver-Stockton last week and will put their first ranking on the line this Saturday at #12 Benedictine, which moved up one spot after a 47-21 win over Peru State last week.
Missouri Valley and MidAmerica Nazarene held on to the #6 and #8 spots, respectively, after each team claimed victories at home last week. The Vikings are on the road at Culver-Stockton this week while the Pioneers make the short trip to Baker in a game between teams separated by just one-half game in the standings.
For the second-straight week, the HAAC is one of only two conferences with four teams represented in the top 25. The Great Plains Athletic Conference remains the other four-team conference with Morningside (Iowa) leading its grouping at #10.
