Redmon Named HAAC Most Valuable Player

Redmon, a two-time unanimous 1st-team all-HAAC selection, was also chosen the Offensive Co-Player of the Year with Baker sophomore QB Jake Morse while the Pioneers' Jonathan Quinn was named the Coach of the Year. The Defensive Player of the Year honor went to Benedictine senior DL Jordan Ancar.

Redmon scored 8 touchdowns this season among his 51 receptions for 694 yards, good enough for a 13.6 yards per catch average. He tallied a combined nine receptions in two postseason contests that included an opening round touchdown against Southern Nazarene (Okla.). He hauled in a season-best 8 catches against Benedictine while posting 101 yards on 5 catches against Peru State.

Quinn led the Pioneers into the postseason for the third time in as many seasons as the program made its 5th-straight playoff appearance overall. MNU finished the season 10-1 and a quarterfinal appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series while finishing with a share of a second-straight conference championship.

Morse made a significant jump in his second collegiate season as he went from being an honorable mention selection to one of the top offensive players in the conference. He led the HAAC in total offense at 212.5 yards per game as he completed 172-of-282 throws for 2,120 yards and 17 TDs while throwing just five interceptions.

Ancar was a key member of the Benedictine defense that led the conference in scoring defense at 12.4 points allowed per game. The Port Sulphur, Louisiana native, who was also selected for the 3rd-team athlete position, led the Ravens with 64 tackles and was 12th in the NAIA with 17.5 tackles for loss that included 4.5 sacks.

Benedictine led the conference with 10 first-team selections with an even five on each squad and a total of 26 total spots on the three teams as well as the honorable mention list.
