Two Spots Change in Latest Football Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A head-to-head matchup last Saturday has shaken up the four Heart of America Athletic Conference representatives in the latest NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
A double-overtime win for Benedictine over William Penn has seen the two teams flip-flop in this week's rankings. Benedictine moved up three spots to No. 15 in the polls, while William Penn slipped six spots to No. 19.
The other two spots held by Heart teams went unchanged this week as Baker and Grand View remained at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Grand View visits Benedictine to highlight the next to last weekend of the 2015 regular season. Baker and William Penn will also be on the road as the Wildcats travel to Missouri Valley, while William Penn heads to Graceland.
Southern Oregon repeated as the top-ranked team in the polls with eight of 15 first place votes. Morningside (Iowa) claimed six first place votes to stay in the No. 2 position, while Doane earned the remaining first place vote to complete an unchanged top five.
