The Heart of America Athletic Conference is proud to announce the 2024 Heart Football South Division All-Conference teams and postseason award winners.
The seven Heart South head coaches selected the following postseason awards and 1st, 2nd and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams.
2024 Heart South Player of the Year – Jacob Gathright – Benedictine College
Gathright had a phenomenal senior season for the Ravens, as he finished the regular season with 46 catches for 1,044 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. He is just 63 yards shy of breaking the Benedictine program record for career receiving yards.
2024 Heart South Offensive Player of the Year- Jackson Dooley – Benedictine College
Dooley helped lead the Ravens to a share of the Heart South Conference Championship in 2024. The quarterback had a fantastic season for the Ravens, breaking the single season program record for passing yards with 3,422 and the single season program record for passing touchdowns with 35.
2024 Heart South Defensive Player of the Year – Zac Kramer – Baker University
Kramer led the Wildcats in total tackles this season with an impressive 86. The junior also had 7.5 tackles for loss and four interceptions.
2024 Heart South Freshman of the Year – Aiyo'n Carter – MidAmerica Nazarene University
In his first season with the Pioneers, the wide receiver had 32 receptions for 648 yards and eight touchdowns.
2024 Heart South Coach of the Year – Joel Osborn – Benedictine College
Coach Osborn and the No. 9 nationally ranked Ravens enter the postseason, 9-2 overall and went 5-1 in the Heart South to capture their, third-straight Heart South Conference Championship. The Ravens have earned a Bye in the first round of the 2024 NAIA-FCS Playoffs.
2024 Heart South Assistant of the Year – Tucker Pauley – Baker University
Pauley helped lead the Wildcats to their second-straight Heart South Division Conference Championship and second-straight berth to the NAIA-FCS. The defensive coordinator's defense had a stellar 19 interceptions in 2024 and nine fumble recoveries.
