2022 Heart Men’s Basketball Postseason Awards and All-Conference Teams Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2022 Heart Men's Basketball Postseason awards and All-Conference Teams.

The list features players from across the conference that were awarded to the First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Conference teams. For the first time, the Heart will also honor an All-Defensive Team.

The awards and All-Conference teams were voted on by the Heart head coaches.

2022 Heart Men's Basketball Coach of the Year – Rocky Lamar – MidAmerica Nazarene

The active all-time wins leader in the NAIA, Coach Lamar is wrapping up his incredible career after this season, as the leader of the MidAmerica Nazarene University men's basketball program. Coach Lamar captured his 800^th career victory with the Pioneers this season on January 29^th, in a 95-80 win over Grand View.

2022 Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Year – Kevion Blaylock – William Penn University

For the second-straight season, William Penn's Kevion Blaylock has been selected the Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Year. The senior is averaging a double-double this season with 20.7 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game. He helped lead the Statesmen to their third-straight Heart regular season title this year, as William Penn enters this week's Heart Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed.

2022 Heart Defensive Player of the Year – Tim Cameron – Central Methodist University

Central Methodist guard Tim Cameron was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Year, after ending the regular season with 68 total steals, which was second in the Heart. He had three games this season with six steals. He also averaged 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

2022 Heart Men's Basketball Freshman of the Year – Ryan Bartley – Mount Mercy

Bartley averaged 8.0 points per game this season and shot 53.3-percent from field for the Mustangs. He scored in double figures in nine games this season.

2022 Heart Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Year – Jacob Fierst – Clarke University

In his first season with the Pride, Fierst averaged 19.0 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 47.6-percent from the floor. He scored in double figures in 27 games this season and had 10 or more rebounds a game 13 times.
