2025 Heart Men’s Soccer All-Conference Teams and Post Season Awards Announced
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – With the Heart of America Men's Soccer regular season in the books, the Heart of America Athletic Conference has announced the 2025 Heart Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams and Postseason Awards.
The All-Conference teams and postseason award winners were voted on by the Heart of America men's soccer head coaches.
2025 Heart Player of the Year – Chafik El Idrissi – Baker University
El Idrissi finished the 2025 season with seven goals and four assists in 16 games. Two of his seven goals came against Heart of America opponents as the Wildcats won the Heart of America Regular Season title. He was also a 2024 Second Team All-Conference honoree.
2025 Heart Defensive Player of the Year & Newcomer of the Year – Kevin Ventura – Grand View University
Kevin Ventura played in 17 games for the Vikings, scoring five goals throughout the season. He helped the Vikings to an overall record of 12-3-3, going 8-3-2 in Heart play. Defensively, Ventura and the Vikings posted eight shutouts throughout the 2025 season.
2025 Heart Coach of the Year – Nick Aguilar – Baker University
In his fourth season as the head coach at Baker, Nick Aguilar helped the Wildcats to a 2025 Heart of America Regular Season Conference Championship with an overall record of 12-4-2, while going 9-3-1 in Heart of America play. The Wildcats went undefeated in the final 10 games of the season.
2025 Heart Offensive Player of the Year – Antonio Mugica – MidAmerica Nazarene University
Mugica played in 17 games for the Pioneers, scoring nine goals and adding 10 assists to help MidAmerica Nazarene to a record of 11-2-4 and 8-2-3 in Heart play. He scored in eight games this season, scoring two goals against Mount Mercy.
2025 Heart Freshman of the Year – Jeremie Pelade – MidAmerica Nazarene University
Pelade earned the Freshman of the Year award after playing in 16 games and tallying a team-high 11 goals while also adding one assist. All 11 goals came in conference play, scoring in eight different games with his season high coming with a hat-trick against Clarke.
