2025 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS - GRAND VIEW MEN'S SOCCER

Grand View University Men's Soccer capped off a remarkable postseason run on Monday afternoon, securing the program's first NAIA National Championship with a 2–1 win over WVU Tech. The victory adds yet another milestone to the Heart of America Athletic Conference's national success in men's soccer. 

WVU Tech struck early, but the Vikings quickly responded with an equalizer in the 14th minute to settle the match and shift momentum. Grand View delivered the championship moment midway through the second half, scoring the go-ahead goal in the 59th minute and holding strong defensively the rest of the way. The Vikings allowed just one goal across their five national tournament matches, backed by standout goalkeeper play and a disciplined back line. 

Grand View's title run was defined by resilience and consistency—they defeated five ranked opponents, including the tournament's No. 1 overall seed, and posted four clean sheets along the way. The accomplishment is even more impressive considering the Vikings were picked 13th out of 14 in the Heart preseason poll. 

With the win, the Heart extends its dominance on the national stage. Conference programs have now won five of the last eight NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships and have finished as national runner-up four times in the last decade, totaling six national titles overall. 

Grand View's historic championship solidifies both the program's rise and the Heart's ongoing reputation as one of the premier conferences in the NAIA.
