All-Conference Tennis Teams Announced
With the 2010-11 season complete, the Heart of America Athletic Conference has released its all-conference teams for both men's and women's tennis.
On the men's side, conference champion Graceland celebrated its 6th-straight trip to the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championships by landing six players on the all-conference teams with Remy Caffardo and Carlos Yanes leading the way on the first team. Missouri Valley also claimed a pair of 1st-team places and three overall while Lindenwood and William Jewell earned two spots apiece.
The William Jewell women closed out their legacy in the HAAC by winning both the regular season and conference titles, leading to five total all-conference honorees. Paula Peters and Nikki Chambers paced the Cardinals on the first team while Marcela Rosales and Maria Martinez claimed 1st-team places for Evangel. Missouri Valley and Lindenwood each earned two all-conference honorees each.
Graceland won its opening match at the national tournament over #21-seeded Huntingdon before falling to Azusa Pacific in the second round. William Jewell came up short against Indiana Wesleyan in its first round match.
