Joel Loving Tabbed As Graceland Tennis Coach
Lamoni, IA - Athletic Director Joe Worlund is pleased to announce Joel Loving as the new head men's and women's tennis coach at Graceland University.
"I am confident that Joel can bring the leadership necessary to guide the tennis program and in turn help Graceland, the athletic department and especially the tennis players benefit from his presence," said Worlund.
"We are excited to have Joel join the athletic department, his long relationship with the university and the strong relationships he has with alumni and friends of Graceland will be a great benefit to the tennis program."
Loving says he's looking forward to building relationships and excellence within the program.
"I am thrilled to come back to Graceland as the new men's and women's tennis coach," said Coach Loving following the announcement. "Graceland has played such a significant role in my family's life over the years and to be afforded and opportunity to be part of the university family again is tremendously rewarding.
"I look forward with great anticipation to building new relationships, reestablishing old ones and pursing excellence in our tennis program."
The men's tennis team was 12-6 on the season in its last campaign and lost in the second round of the national tournament. The women's team finished the 2014 season 15-4 while also falling in the second round of the national tournament.
Loving is excited about the current pieces in place within the program and excited to see the teams fight for another spot in the national tournament.
"I would like to invite everyone to come out to support and watch our teams play," continued Loving. "We have strong men and women players with national rankings and they're exciting to watch. Please join us for our upcoming matches."
