Heart Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week – April 11, 2022
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly awards on Monday, as Trevor Albert of Grand View was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Ben Gutekunst of Baker University was named the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Men's Outdoor Track & Field weekly awards on Monday, as Trevor Albert of Grand View was selected the Heart Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and Ben Gutekunst of Baker University was named the Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Albert placed third in the 3,000m steeplechase at the Sioux City Relays, posting a conference-leading and NAIA automatic national qualifying time of 9:22.88 which currently ranks No. 9 in the NAIA.
Gutekunst earned a personal best mark of 59.97m in the javelin last weekend at the Gorilla Classic at Pittsburg State University, as he placed fifth out of 27 total athletes.
The Olathe, Kansas native hit the 'A' standard to qualify for the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
