Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week – April 18, 2022
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners on Monday, as Showalter Johnson of William Penn University earned his first Heart Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award and Missouri Valley’s Devon White secured his second Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor of 2022.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners on Monday, as Showalter Johnson of William Penn University earned his first Heart Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award and Missouri Valley's Devon White secured his second Heart Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor of 2022.
Johnson competed at the William Penn Invitational on April 15 and won the men's 100m dash in a time of 10.63, as he hit the NAIA 'B' standard mark, qualifying him for the 2022 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
Lee took on the Little Rock Twilight meet on April 15 and competed against NCAA Division I and II athletes and the Riverside, Calif., native placed first in the long jump with a mark of 7.28m and took home second in the triple jump with a jump of 14.80m.
