GRAND VIEW MEN'S WRESTLING - 2026 NAIA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

For the 14th time in program history, and in back-to-back years, No. 1 nationally ranked Grand View University won the 2026 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship on Saturday night. 

The Vikings earned 192.5 points, finishing ahead of second-place Life University (Ga.) with 166 points. Grand View closed the competition with four individual national champions, along with one runner-up and one finisher each in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place. 

NAIA Champions 

• 133 lbs. – No. 2 seed Gabe Gonzales def. No. 1 Aaron Lucio, 3-1 

• 149 lbs. – No. 2 seed Elijah Larsen def. No. 5 Victor Guzman, 7-4 

• 174 lbs. – No. 3 Kris Ketchum def. No. 1 Tate Picklo, 8-0 

• 197 lbs. – No. 1 Garavous Kouekabakilaho def. No. 3 Asher Ruchti, 4-1 

With the victory, Grand View continues its dominance both nationally and within the conference. The Vikings also captured the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship, marking their 11th consecutive conference title. Saturday night's performance secured the program's 14th NAIA National Championship overall and its second straight national title, further cementing Grand View's status as one of the premier programs in NAIA wrestling.
