William Penn Sweeps Heart Softball Weekly Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week awards on Monday afternoon. 

William Penn University swept the awards on Monday, as Tori Smith earned the Heart Player of the Week and teammate Madie Anderson earned the Heart Pitcher of the Week.

The Statesmen went 4-2 last week, with Smith hitting .450 on the week. The sophomore had three doubles and two RBI's, along with three walks.

Anderson went 1-1 last week with an ERA of 2.57 in 16.1 innings of work. She struck out a total of 21 batters and walked just one.
