Brown, Klein Earn Heart Softball Weekly Awards

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Softball Weekly awards on Monday afternoon.

Dani Klein of Park University was named the Heart Softball Player of the Week, while Mandy Brown of MidAmerica Nazarene earned the Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week.

McAlister and the Pirates went 5-1 in six Heart games last week. The senior led the offense with a batting average of .600, going 12-of-20 at the plate.

She hit a triple and had two doubles and five RBI's.

Brown went 2-1 last week for the Pioneers with a save and posted an ERA of 0.91, in 27 strikeouts in 23 innings.
