NO. 8 MISSOURI BAPTIST CLAIMS 2026 HEART SOFTBALL REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The No. 8-ranked Missouri Baptist University softball team secured the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship, presented by WinWon, after a pair of wins over Missouri Valley College on Friday afternoon.
The Spartans finished the regular season with a 37-8 overall record and 23-3 mark in conference play, earning the outright regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the Heart Softball Conference Tournament Championship, and the conference's automatic qualifier to the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round.
Missouri Baptist put together a dominant regular season campaign, combining consistency at the plate and in the circle to rise to the top of the conference standings. By clinching the regular season crown, the Spartans secured a strong postseason position as they look to carry momentum into championship play.
With the automatic bid, Missouri Baptist has also locked in a spot in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round, which begins Monday, May 11, at selected host sites.
Before national tournament play begins, the Spartans will turn their attention to the Heart Softball Conference Tournament Championship, set to begin April 30 at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where Missouri Baptist enters as the tournament's top seed.
