Leah Johnson of No. 4 Central Methodist Selected Heart Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
After a dominant week for the No. 4 nationally ranked Central Methodist Eagles, Leah Johnson has been selected the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
After a dominant week for the No. 4 nationally ranked Central Methodist Eagles, Leah Johnson has been selected the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Johnson and the Eagles earned three victories last week, a 91-71 win over Haskell, 69-50 win over Benedictine and a 104-63 victory over 104-63.
In the three games, the Ewing, New Jersey native averaged 17.7 points, 15.7 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game.
Against Benedictine she had 24 points and a career-best 21 rebounds. She also had six blocks in the win at Peru State.
