Clarke’s Nicole McDermott Earns WinWon Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Clarke University's Nicole McDermott has been selected the Heart of America Athletic Conference WinWon Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced on Monday.

The senior averaged a double-double for the defending National Champion Pride in their 2-0 week. McDermott and the Pride defeated Governors State, 68-66, and William Penn, 84-66.

McDermott scored 24 points and had 15 rebounds in the win over GSU, then followed that up with 18 points and seven rebounds against the Statesmen.

The point guard also averaged 3.5 assists per game and 3.0 steals per game.
