Barrett, Larsen Earn Heart Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week awards on Monday afternoon.

For the fifth-straight week, Ella Larsen of (RV) Grand View has earned the Heart Defensive Player of the Week award, while Sophia Barrett of Baker captured her first Heart Offensive Player of the Week award of the season.

Barrett and the Wildcats went 1-1 last week, the senior averaged 21.5 points per game and shot 60-percent from the floor in both games. She also averaged 3.0 assists per game and 2.0 blocks per game.

In two more victories for Grand View last week, Larsen had eight defensive rebounds in the win over Graceland and six in the win over Missouri Valley. The senior also recorded three steals in each game.
