Final Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week Awards of 2025 Announced

The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its final Heart Women's Basketball Players of the Week of the season, presented by WinWon on Monday afternoon.

Sophia Barrett of Baker University earned the Heart Offensive Player of the Week award, while Kylie Diaz of Peru State was selected the Heart Defensive Player of the Week.

For the second-straight week, Barrett earned the award for the Wildcats. Baker ended the Heart regular season with two victories last week, a home win over (RV) Benedictine, 81-73, and a 65-42 home win over William Penn.

The senior scored a career-high 30 points against Benedictine and was a perfect 11-for-11 from the free-throw line. She followed that up with a 15 point, five assist performance against William Penn. 

Diaz had 18 total rebounds last week, with 12 defensive in a win over Graceland, 64-56. She also had 10 total blocks on the week and three steals.
