Heart Game of the Week Recap: Benedictine vs. Grand View

Benedictine earned a 66–48 home victory over (RV) Grand View on Saturday afternoon in a Heart of America Athletic Conference women's basketball matchup, featured as the Heart Game of the Week presented by Olathe Chamber of Commerce.
The game opened with Benedictine building a 22–13 lead after the first quarter. The Ravens extended the margin in the second quarter before Grand View responded with a 13–0 run to close the gap late in the half. The teams went into halftime separated by three points.
Benedictine pulled away in the third quarter, limiting Grand View to seven points in the period while converting consistently at the free-throw line. The Ravens carried an 11-point advantage into the fourth quarter and continued to build the lead with another strong defensive effort, again holding the Vikings to seven points in the final frame. Grand View was held without a field goal over the final seven minutes of play.
For the game, Benedictine shot 38 percent from the field and held Grand View to 29 percent shooting. The Vikings were limited to 2-of-17 from three-point range in the second half. Benedictine also held a 51–34 rebounding advantage.
With the result, Benedictine improved to 14–5 overall, 10-1 in conference, and moved into first place in the Heart standings.
