Benedictine punches ticket to 2026 NAIA Women’s Lacrosse National Championship
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — The NAIA has announced the eight-team field for the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship, set for May 11–15 at the Jack Allen Sports Complex in Decatur, Alabama. The Heart of America Athletic Conference will be represented by Benedictine College.
Benedictine College earned the Heart's automatic berth after winning both the Heart Women's Lacrosse Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championships. The Ravens enter the national championship ranked No. 1 in the NAIA and carry a perfect 16-0 record into postseason play.
Benedictine is making its sixth appearance at the NAIA Women's Lacrosse National Championship and is the only program in the field with multiple national titles, having claimed the Red Banner twice.
The eight-team field will compete in a single-elimination format beginning with quarterfinal play on May 11.
Heart First-Round Matchup
Monday, May 11 (10 a.m. CT)
No. 1 Benedictine College vs. No. 8 Lawrence Tech (Mich.)
The tournament continues with semifinal matchups on May 13, followed by the national championship game on May 15 at 5 p.m. CT.
