Arrieta, Gregory Grab Women's Soccer Weekly Awards
Graceland claimed its first weekly women's soccer award of 2011 as Arrieta was a key figure in a 2-1 week for the #21-ranked Yellowjackets. She scored a goal in a 4-0 win over Park (Mo.), then tallied five goals in a 7-3 win over St. Francis (Ill.). She is third in the conference in both goals scored (12) and points per game (2.78) while her 12 goals is tied for 6th in the NAIA.
Gregory (pictured right) claimed her third Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and second in a row as she registered a pair of shutouts last week for the Ravens. The senior from Gretna, Nebraska recorded a total of seven saves as the Ravens claimed identical 4-0 victories over Briar Cliff (Iowa) and Bethel (Kan.). She has posted four-straight clean sheets and yielded just four goals on the season.
Both players will represent the Heart of America Athletic Conference in consideration for the weekly NAIA Player of the Week awards, which will be announced no later than Tuesday afternoon each week.
