Graceland, Baker Split Women's Soccer Top Honors
Conference champion Baker claimed a pair of individual awards as senior GK Margaret Dupes was selected the HAAC Defensive Player of the Year while senior F Alix Schiraldi was the Co-Offensive Player of the Year. Dupes allowed just 14 goals in 11 games, including just six goals in seven conference games while recording four shutouts in league play.
Schiraldi shared the top offensive honor with Graceland F Gisela Arrieta. Schiraldi was the leading scorer for the Wildcats with 12 goals and 7 assists (31 points) while Arrieta, who was also namd the overall Player of the Year in the HAAC, was the conference leader and tied for 5th in the NAIA with 24 goals as part of 53 total points.
Nate Houser of Baker was named the HAAC Coach of the Year after guiding his team to a 11-3-1 overall record that included a 5-1-1 mark in conference play. Houser also earned a share of the men's Coach of the Year award.
Arrieta was a repeat 1st-team selection for the Yellowjackets, six total all-conference selections. Baker had the most 1st-team honorees with four while had the most overall recipients with seven among the three teams.
