Heart Women's Soccer Players of the Week – October 11
The Heart of America Athletic Conference released its seventh edition of the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week awards, as Laura Riesenbeck of nationally ranked Central Methodist won her second Heart Defensive Player of the Week award of 2021, while Park University’s Lenvix Ochieng captured her first Heart Offensive Player of the Week of the season.
The Heart of America Athletic Conference released its seventh edition of the Women's Soccer Player of the Week awards, as Laura Riesenbeck of nationally ranked Central Methodist won her second Heart Defensive Player of the Week award of 2021, while Park University's Lenvix Ochieng captured her first Heart Offensive Player of the Week of the season.
Ochieng led the Pirates offensively last week with three goals in the span of two games. The Mombasa City, Kenya native scored a goal in Park's 3-1 loss at Baker and then followed that up with two goals on six shots in the 4-3 defeat against William Penn.
Riesenbeck also won this award back on September 20. This week she helped lead the Eagles defense to its fourth-consecutive shut out win a 3-0 win over MidAmerica Nazarene and a 2-0 win over Baker.
The Beverstedt, Germany product also scored a goal in the win over MNU.
