Heart Women’s Soccer Teams Punch Tickets to NAIA Final Site
Two Heart of America women's soccer programs—Missouri Valley and MidAmerica Nazarene—have officially advanced to the NAIA Final Site following successful Second Round outcomes. The conference showcased its continued national competitiveness, while Central Methodist concluded its postseason run with a tightly fought match.
MidAmerica Nazarene 3, Science & Arts 0
MidAmerica Nazarene delivered a statement win on the road, powering past Science & Arts 3–0 behind an explosive first half. The Pioneers struck three times in an 11-minute span, starting with Thayline Teixeira in the 10th minute, followed by a dominant two-goal performance from Bella Leon. MNU's back line and goalkeeper Fiona Popetschnig were exceptional, turning away 22 shots and securing an eight-save shutout to advance with complete control.
Missouri Valley 2, Spring Arbor 1 (OT)
Missouri Valley continued its unbeaten season with a dramatic overtime victory in front of its home crowd. After Judit Ferre put the Vikings on top early in the second half, Spring Arbor briefly equalized — but Missouri Valley never wavered. In overtime, Marlene Flores buried the golden goal off a feed from Ashley Arribas to lift the Vikings to a 2–1 win. Missouri Valley dominated the stat sheet with a 15–2 shot advantage and showed poise befitting a top Heart program.
Taylor 1, Central Methodist 0
Central Methodist controlled long stretches of the match and outshot Taylor 14–12, but the Eagles were edged 1–0 after a second-half goal by the Trojans. CMU pushed aggressively throughout the final 45 minutes — generating 11 shots in the second half alone — but could not find the equalizer despite consistent pressure. Amber Bennett recorded three saves as the Eagles' defense held firm for much of the match.
Missouri Valley and MidAmerica Nazarene advance to the NAIA Women's Soccer Final Site, held December 1–8, 2025 at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida.
