Yellowjackets Meet Bulldogs in NAIA Opener

Winners of an Unaffiliated Group tournament to earn an automatic berth into the 24-team tournament, the Yellowjackets will play a first round match on Tuesday, May 13 against McPherson (Kan.). The winner of that match will face No. 5-seeded Embry-Riddle (Fla.) on Wednesday, May 14. Both matches are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. (CDT)
The Yellowjackets will need five wins to capture the national championship, with the title decided on Saturday, May 17 at 9:00 a.m. The top eight seeds all received first round byes, led by top-seeded Xavier (La.) and defending national champion and fourth-seeeded Auburn Montgomery (Ala.).
Graceland (14-3) enters the tournament having won 10-straight matches with its last loss coming against Xavier on March 20. The Yellowjackets only have one other loss against an NAIA opponent this season, falling to Oklahoma Baptist on Feb. 21, another team competing in the national championship.
