2021 Women's Tennis Unaffiliated Grouping Awards Announced

BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The 2021 women's tennis unaffiliated grouping awards have been announced after the conclusion of the Heart of America/AMC/Sonner Championship event.

No. 11 William Woods won the event with a 4-0 victory over Missouri Valley in the finals. Owls senior, Zlata Shuraeva, was selected as the Player of the Year while also being named a 1st Team All-Conference selection for both singles and doubles. William Woods had a total of six individuals and three doubles duos tabbed as All-Conference honorees.

Other individuals landing on the 1st Team All-Conference list for singles were Nicole Straznicky (Missouri Valley), Ana Bjelica (Evangel), Myrian Alegre (Missouri Valley), Ana Zavala (William Woods), and Sydney Smith (John Brown). For doubles, Shuraeva/Zavala (William Woods), Mireia Jordan/Hannah Meyer (William Woods), and Straznicky/Alegre (Missouri Valley) were selected as 1st Team award winners.
