NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship Pool Play Results
The Heart of America Athletic Conference was represented in Sioux City this week by No. 12 Missouri Baptist, competing in Pool E during the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball National Championship. The Spartans delivered a strong national showing in their first season as a Heart member, highlighted by a sweep in their opening match and a competitive battle against a top-five opponent. Missouri Baptist closes an outstanding year as both the Heart Regular Season and Tournament Champions, finishing 31–6 overall.
POOL PLAY – MATCH ONE (Dec. 4)
#12 Missouri Baptist 3, #20 Mobile (Ala.) 0, (25-17, 25-22, 25-22)
Missouri Baptist opened Pool E with a convincing sweep of Mobile, extending its winning streak to 16. Gabi Jakubowska powered the attack with 23 kills, supported by Allana Capella with 12 and efficient hitting from Fernanda Perini and Kassie Lee. Valentina Navarro directed the offense with 42 assists and three aces, while Julia Reis Pereira posted 14 digs to lead the defense. The Spartans controlled the match throughout, hitting above .350 in the first two sets.

POOL PLAY – MATCH TWO (Dec. 5)
#5 Corban (Ore.) 3, #12 Missouri Baptist 0, (25-22, 25-18, 25-22)
In a winner-take-all matchup for advancement, MBU battled No. 5 Corban but fell in straight sets. Jakubowska closed her standout career with 17 kills, while Lee led the defensive front with eight blocks. The Spartans surged late in the third set to take a 19–18 lead behind key plays from Navarro, Perini, Lee, and Jakubowska, but Corban responded to close out the match. MBU's effort reflected the resilience and high-level play that defined its first season in the Heart.

Missouri Baptist concludes its season 31–6, claiming both Heart championships and recording a national tournament sweep in its opening match. The Heart proudly congratulates the Spartans for an exceptional debut season in the conference and a strong run on the national stage.
