No. 1 Ranked Olivia Brown Selected Heart Women’s Wrestler of the Week

The Heart of America Athletic Conference Announced its Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week award, presented by Musco on Monday afternoon.

No. 1 nationally ranked 207-pound women's wrestler Olivia Brown earned the award for the Grand View Vikings.

Brown and her teammates competed at the NWCA National Duals last week. The senior placed first in the 207-pound division.

She defeated the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 nationally ranked wrestlers at the event, including No. 3 ranked Riley Dempewolf of Indiana Tech, by a 3-0 decision. She then defeated No. 4 ranked Kathryn Hingano of Southern Oregon, by a 10-0 Tech Fall and then defeated No. 5 ranked Savannah Isaac of Life University by a 9-0 decision.

Grand View as a team placed second overall.
